This project was highly inspired by YouTube videos of dessert café workers putting together customers’ orders. These workers made drinks (teas, coffee, milkshakes) and prepped desserts (ice cream, cake, macarons). The drinks and desserts would be beautifully wrapped and packaged.
I wanted to build the brand of an imaginary dessert café, focusing on creating promotional animated content and product branding.
A white droplet falls from the top of the screen, bounces, then forms the ‘p’.
Dot for the ‘i’ pops in as it builds.
Potential Idea: bounce the dot on top of the ‘i’, then ease into place.
The rest of the logo animates out like it is being written.
After some brainstorming, I decided to include a representation of a peach in the logo. However, this initial design would work best as a store front sign.
Rough frame by frame animation of my initial idea to layout the speed and look of the logo.
I found that this animation was too jittery so I took it into After Effects.
Combining frame by frame with trim paths.
After this iteration, I wanted to include some camera movement and thought that the white screen was too jarring to start with.
These are ideas for future modeling of items that would be sold by the buisness and dine-in presentation concepts for brand consistency. I am currently learning Blender so I can bring these ideas to life.
