All of the work from this point on covers what I worked on alone, unless stated otherwise.
Healthy Background - if players keep picking trash, the background remains healthy.
Dying Background - as more trash is missed, this background will increase in opacity. If trash gets picked, this background will fade.
The background was the first task to address, this would set the style for the rest of the game. Dimensions of the background changed depending on what screen we’re using.
Claire and I worked on the design of these animals together. Once the design was finalized, I applied final textures and drop shadows. Afterwards, I animated by applying rotation and scaling.
This was an intense project that went through many iterations, but I was grateful for this opportunity to focus on animation and illustration. It was a lot of fun to add life to these sea animals and background, and storyboarding and executing the introduction scenes.
I would say that I’m proud of my contributions to this project and the team. Seeing all the visitors at ImagineRIT enjoying this game is something I will never forget. I hope to recreate many of these moments in my future.
